The rooms were comfortable and warm, and the breakfast offered a lovely continental selection. The sauna and shower facilities were perfect after a tiring day of skiing. The hotel is conveniently located right across from the chairlift station and has a ski/gear room on the bottom floor. A hairdryer is also available in the bathroom if needed. I would happily return in the future—Gabi truly goes out of her way to make your stay enjoyable.

Excellent, cosy good value B@B. It was warm, spotlessly clean and really well situated for everything Rauris had to offer. We had teenage grandchildren and was ideal for us all. Gabby the host went out of her way to ensure a welcoming stay. Would definitely recommend.

A have never written a review on here but I thought this place deserves a mention….. Me and Partner and Daughter (Age 7) arrived here End of Jan 24. We had been to Raurus last year but decided to go for B&B and eat out this year as we found it quite repetitive in another hotel last year. And fancied a change. From start to finish Gaby the owner was most welcoming. She couldn’t do enough for us. Unfortunately my daughter was in a ski accident and fractured her Ankle. Gaby rang the hospital and organised us a taxi to the hospital, she even let us stay in our room on check out day so my little girl wasn’t waiting around with her cast on. Breakfast was on until 10 am and Gaby ensured we were well fed every morning. The hotel is modern and clean throughout and has a communal area of comfy tables and sofas. Rauris is a small resort but has some lovely bars and restaurants, some even offer take seats so we had a couple of take aways and brought them back to the hotel a couple of nights. They even had beer in the fridge and a honesty bar. The rooms are all the same size, we managed with 3 of us. We had a balcony with a nice view that overlooked the red home run and chair lift so you could easily cross the road and go straight up the mountain. If you want a Hotel with just B&B and the option to eat out. Hotel-Garni Wieshof is an excellent choice.

We enjoyed staying here the lady who runs it was very nice and accommodating if there was anything you need you just asked, the breakfast was very good and everything was fresh and boiled eggs on request. Just a couple of niggles was whilst we were there the towels were never changed and and no instructions in the room usually there is a list of things available, we didn't know what to do some places tell you leave towels on floor if new ones are needed but we don't like doing that we just assumed that midweek they would have been changed automatically, all that the maid did when coming in our room was to empty the bin. Rauris is a nice little place and we might possibly be back but next time we will go for half board as although the centre is only a ten minute walk away the choice of restaurants was quite small as many chose not to cater for outsiders only for residents, so very much limiting our options with us being on a bed and breakfast option, worth remembering if you are planning to stay in Rauris.

lovely B&B, wonderful owner, really made you feel at home, spotlessly clean, cleaner comes into your rooms everday, really nice hotel find & we will b sure to be back. about 5-10 mins walk to the main centre, ski bus stops just outside tho, and comes ever half hour. rooms really nice & warm, plenty of space for a family of 3 & nice big balcony, the shower is tiny, think some of the rooms have had new bathrooms, ours was one of the older ones but still complete fine really nice breakfast ever morning with fresh boiled eggs, she let us keep our room as our flight didn't leave till late, all in all a great b&b in a really nice small family friendly resort

Really nice hotel, lovely view of mountain from the balcony, breakfast is very nice not loads of options but really good to start the day, shower is a little small for me however I’m a tall person. Other than that if you want a place to stay whilst skiing then you can’t really complain as well as the fact that the local restaurants are affordable and really nice for dinner and lunch.

A lovely little hotel just on the edge of town. We had a top floor room in the back of the property and had a lovely view of the mountain. Breakfast was good for a continental breakfast and the host was always friendly. It was just a short walk to the ski bus outside hotel The only thing that I could say I would have liked is a kettle in our room so we could have a cup of tea without carrying it up 3 flights of stairs. The sauna downstairs was also nice but be aware that you are required to be naked.

Dit jaar was onze jaarlijkse ‘mannen’ skivakantie de keuze gevallen op pension Wieshof. Veertien kamers en die van ons waren alle ruim van opzet en voorzien van drie bedden die we weliswaar als einzelzimmer hadden geboekt. Gaby is een bijzonder sympathieke gastvrouw die alles voor haar gasten doet en kennelijk met plezier het pension runt. Kamers zijn allemaal keurig netjes en de rest van het huis ziet er ook keurig verzorgd uit. Prima ontbijt en met een paar minuutjes lopen zit je in de skilift. 10 minuten lopen van het dorpscentrum waar je keuze heb uit verschillende restaurants, de ene helaas beter dan de andere. Mooie sauna in kelder aanwezig en ook een zitje in de ontbijtruimte waar je ‘s avonds nog wat drankjes kunt nemen die je dan op een lijst dient te zetten. Staat ook een apparaat met koffie specialiteiten tbv ontbijt, maar ook avonds kun je tegen muntinworp koffies nemen. Prijs/kwaliteit was voor de pauschale week meer dan goed. Zeker aan te bevelen.

Definitely recommend, great location, 5 mins walk to the pretty town and a further 5 to the main lift. This place has a wonderful host who looks after you so well. Rooms were clean, wifi good and breakfast generous. We would stay again.

Stayed here for one week for skiing. Good location for the ski lifts - 5 min walk to stairlift or 2min walk to bus stop. The host was friendly and very helpful. Very clean and the room was a good size,shower is tiny though. Had amazing views of the mountains from room. The slopes were really good and great for beginners.

We've stayed 2 nights in Hotel Garni Wieshof and really enjoyed it (1 adult, 2 kids). We've had a room with a balcony facing Rauris with a view on the mountains and the church. The environment is nice and calm with several restaurants on walking distance. The room is clean and the beds are comfortable. The room was big enough to host the three of us and we used it only for sleeping. After a warm day, it cooled down at night to a comfortable temperature (perfect for sleeping). Every morning a tasteful breakfast is served with plenty of choice (also for kids). In the morning we were welcomed by Gaby Strobl for a little chat, but also for tips what to do in the environment. The Sommercard for the national park is included when booking a room. With this card you get several attractions free or with discounts (e.g. Grossglockerstrasse Alpin road). This hotel is perfect to explore the environment and to have a relaxed stay after a day of sightseeing/walking. My kids were so enthusiastic that they want to stay a second time. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Wir verbrachten einen kurzen Skiurlaub in Rauris. Im Wieshof wurden wir im modernen und sauberen "Deluxe" Zimmer untergebracht. Bauartbedingt ist das Badezimmer etwas klein - für uns kein Problem. Die Gastgeber sind freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das ganze Hotel hat einen sehr familiären Charakter, was uns sehr gut gefiel. Sauna und Infrarotkabine werden auf Wunsch für den Gast eingeschaltet. Der Skilift Kreuzboden ist zu Fuß (mit Skistiefeln) sehr gut zu erreichen. Wir kommen wieder. :)

My son and I stayed for a ski week in March, and were very happy in Wieshof. Clean, warm and an attentive staff. A good breakfast every day, and we did not miss the fry-ups. Yes, the shower cubicle in the room was small, but the shower in the basement sauna was powerful. No problem in returning another time. The free ski bus stopped nearby. Thanks Gaby.

Just got back from a lovely week at the Wieshof. Gaby was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was very nice with plenty of cold choices and the offer of a boiled egg, the room and balcony were great and the location was good for town and to access the chair lift which was a 5 - 10 minute walk. The ski bus passed close by too. I didn't get round to using the sauna but went for a peek and the relaxation area was surprisingly large and attractive. I really can't fault the Wieshof. The only thing was that the free wi-fi wasn't great in the rooms but it worked in the downstairs areas.

We stayed for one night, it is very nice hotel with clean and pretty new rooms, you get also a breakfast in the price.. And the lady at the reception was very friendly and kind to us. We can highly recommend this place :)

Just returned from a wonderful visit to Rauris where we stayed with Gaby in the Wieshof which ticked all the boxes. Room was very bright clean and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was typical European fare but the availability of a freshly boiled egg to your liking set you up for a mornings skiing. The property is very well situated close to lifts and a short walk to the centre of Rauris. Overall a good experience and I would have no hesitation on staying in the Wieshof on a return visit to Rauris.

We stayed at the hotel for a week in February. This guest house was well situated for the slops with the ski bus a 1 minute walk which takes you to the gondola or chairlift, or a 10 min walk to the chair lift (this was in ski boots so we were slow!). All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and although this is basic B & B the rooms were clean and all that you needed. I would recommend staying here.

Gaby and her family were always very helpful and friendly, super hosts. We stayed here from 6th jan to 13th jan 2018 to ski. Room was an ample size for 2 people with good sized wardrobe and the temperature of both room and hotel especially at breakfast was perfect, most hotels are very warm for skiing so when you put ski gear on you're overheated but not here. Hotel was always warm enough and gear dried on radiators even after getting soaked skiing all day on tuesday with part snow and sleety rain coming down. We normally wake up during night in other hotels because of heat in room but not here, temperature was perfect. Roads outside were very quiet aswell so got best nights sleeping ever at ski resort. Rooms were always kept immaculately clean. Be aware there is no safe available but same is true in kristall hotel which serves dinner as well but which is a lot hotter though has fantastic long bar with plenty seating. This is situated 200 yards from wieshof and you are welcome to go in and order drinks as visitors. Be aware the breakfast doesn't have sausages, beans and bacon.No english fry breakfast but has usual cold meats, bread, cheese and corn flakes plus good coffee and tea maker. All very tasty. Hint - if you want a bacon sandwich go through town on way to slopes and stop in cake shop on right hand side of street, this has wonderfully light cakes, drinks, soup and hot breakfasts even pizzas. Don't be fooled into thinking only serves cakes as they're all can see from street. We found superb restaurant on way through town run by croatian family called stadl restaurant, food best ever eaten on holiday, massive variety and also does ice cream sundaes. Ski bus picks you up just 100 yards from door to take you to and from slopes every half hour or you can walk to chair lift on tree lined steeper side of mountain, looked like a 400 yard walk plus crossing road, we always took bus which first went to chair lift and then to nursery slopes where gondola took you up to blue side mountain and another white gondola took you to very top, situated about 1000 yrds skiing down few hills on right side mountain after getting out the top of blue gondola. Tremendous views from top mountain. Restaurants all served good variety of tasty food. You can ski across from blue side to chair lift side on path ways to a restaurant where there is a massive new 10 seater gondola to take you up to top of this side of the mountain which has a tremendously long ski down to bottom of chair lift on tree lined slopes, great for intermediates, experts and confident beginners or you can stop at two restaurants along way to rest. The top restaurant of which has a pathway back down and across to blue side of mountain connecting to first blue restaurant up mountain on blue gondola. We stayed for a week overy New Years and had a wonderful time. The family atmosphere and warm welcome were fantastic and it was a great base for out week of ski and snow boarding. The owners made us feal really welcome and we loved the honesty bar after returning home each day for our use.

I found the Wieshof to be more guesthouse than hotel due to it's size and lack of evening meal option. However what they do offer is a very nice comfortable B and B as we would call it in the U.K. The breakfast was typically continental which I love, a great variety of cooked meats and cheeses, crusty rolls, boiled eggs and of course strong coffee! The rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable although I did find the shower cubicle rather small, but maybe not all rooms are the same. The staff were very friendly, spoke good English and would seemingly do anything to ensure everything is just right for your stay.

Only an hour South of Salzburg this little gem of a hotel is run by Gaby and her family, in the heart of Rauris. First of all we arrived by Car and parking was plentiful. I would class this as boutique hotel, Small and quaint which is decorated and kept immaculately by the owners. Wieshof Garni has a real home from home feel and such a relaxed atmosphere. The room again was smart and clean and tastfully decorated, with a nice bathroom with shower along with a balcony with fantastic views to the mountains. There is a lounge area with tea and coffee making facilities and even a fridge where you can grab a beer, Wine or Scnapps. Just perfect. Breakfast is in the same area. Theres was all sorts of food availablke from fresh fruit, cheese and meats to Breads, cereals and fruit juice. More than enough choice for most I would say. After a hard days skiing, you can head down to the basement area where there is a relaxtion room, Sauna etc. Again tastefully decorated and Immaculate. The hotel is just across the road from one of the chairlifts upto the mountain, about a 1 minute drive to the main gondola station or 15 minute walk. There is a ski pass that passes close by as well and is close to all of the shops and restaurants. All in all this hotel was perfect for us. Not too big, not too small with super friendly hosts whi were ready to help with any requests. I cant rate them highly enough. We will be back for sure.

We booked two days before departure with Crystal and what a good move it proved to be! We absolutely loved the charming Garni Weishof. Our room was overlooking the Kreuzboden lift station and mountains, superb. This was our first stay , in winter, on a bed & breakfast arrangement and really enjoyed eating in several restaurants in the village. Breakfast was lovely and Gabi, very attentive. The only negative for us was the very small shower cubicle, but we managed. The whole place was spotless and the sauna very welcome after a days walking.

We were lucky enough to spend 1 week in Rauris to enjoy the plentiful snow and gleaming sunshine on the slopes. Hotel Garni Wieshof is a true Austrian gem. Breakfast is ample with a selection of cold meats, cheeses, yogurts, cereals and locally baked bread. Delicious filtered coffee every morning works a treat.

We stayed at the Wieshof mid January on a last minute Crystal Ski holiday. We originally booked up to stay in Bulgaria but after reading some reviews, we quickly cancelled last minute and found this little Gem in Austria. The Wieshof is everything you need for a fantastic ski holiday and more! Obviously, this place is labelled as a 3 star bed and breakfast but the service they provide makes it so much more than that. The politeness from everyone who worked there was amazing and they all just made you feel very welcome. The room itself was immaculate. Very spacious, lovely view (which overlooked the chair lift on the Kreuzboden side of the mountain), big tv, comfy bed, everything you'd want after a long day on the slopes. Also it was always very warm inside, which is a god send when temperatures were sometimes as low as -14 degrees. The breakfast is suited for everyone's liking. Yes, it's a traditional continental breakfast so like your hams, cheese and fruits, but there were also many different types of bread and loads of cereals. Also, Gabi (the owner) would always ask if you wanted anything else in particular e.g a boiled egg? The town of Rauris is absolutely amazing! We were a little skeptical about going with never hearing of the town before, but we did not look back. We're even looking at booking up again next year at the same place. The town is very small, you can walk from one side to the other within around 15 minutes. There are numerous places to go out for something to eat that suits everyone's needs. My other half being a vegetarian we were a bit iffy but we never grumbled once. Loads of pizzas, pastas, steaks and more. There are few different pubs where you can go out for a quiet one, or even join the apre skiers after a day of skiing for a not so quiet one. There is a super market in the centre of the town which has literally everything you could need, so don't worry if you forget any essentials. The slopes were some of the best I've ever skied on. Get the main gondola up the Hochalm side of the mountain, ski down a little and then get the new silver gondola right to the top of the mountain, you will not be disappointed. The view is breathtaking and the skiing itself is astonishing. We had such a laugh all week just taking our times down the mountain. I'm an intermediate skier and my other half is just past a beginner, and we had an amazing time. All in all this is the place to go, a little hidden gem. I couldn't complain about absolutely anything. If you get chance for a little break or a long stay, please consider visiting the town of Rauris, you will not be disappointed. This is a prime example of the best things come in small packages. Best holiday I've been on in a long time.
